Some things are perceived directly. Others are detected by inference. We see stars, sun and moon, waltzing the firmament, but not gravity bending space to hold each celestial body in its place. Clocks run faster at altitude. Clocks run slower in motion. Earth and everything else remains in constant motion, albeit undetectable. There is no stillness, only relativity. Stars were born and collapsed without witness for eons, before we existed. Existence infers a beginning. By naming creation’s source we make the chosen word holy. What existed before naming remains. What it is, it is.
